About me

Hi there, I’m Fergus Cunningham, I’m a 20-year-old living in Edinburgh, Scotland with a love of fashion, philosophy, and music. I’m also partial to dogs, beards, and any movie by Quentin Tarantino! (There’s a shamelessly posed pic of me…)

Perhaps unconnected to my passions, my 3 greatest achievements are sneezing 47 times in a row, achieving world champion of Game of Thrones on Quiz-up, and successfully stealing a door from my high school on my last day.

My toothbrush is green, I sometimes wet myself when I see a puppy, and I like to weigh myself before and after I take a shit (if you deduct the second measurement from the first you know the weight of your turd!)

Why have I decided to start a blog?

Last year I dropped out of Biochemistry at Edinburgh uni and now I’m faced with what I should actually do with my life – so here I am with a young dumb brain and a laptop that glows red!

Another irritating trait of mine is that my brain never switches off, and I’m therefore left with an abundance of random philosophical thoughts and ideas, so i decided to make this website as a dumping ground, and an opportunity to share these with anyone who cares enough to read them.

What’s this blog about?

We live in a world where everyone has a cohesive style on their Instagram page. Every other guy or girl goes to the gym 4 times a week, has a trendy haircut and style, and are united in vanity.

Yes, everyone in today’s society is obsessed with how they present their image, which on the whole is a good principle – people respect themselves, they stay fit and healthy and hygienic. However, the truth is, for most people this can be quite destructive to their self-esteem and general confidence. What I’m here to do is share what I’ve learned on you how to exploit this new system, rather than have it work against you, to make yourself happier and feel more fulfilled and confident. I was quite an introverted nerd kid just a few years ago – I wasn’t ashamed of it, it’s just who I was. The turning point for me was when I discovered the art of vanity. The world wasn’t going to change, so I changed in order to take advantage of the way people were thinking. Your image allows you to appeal to whole new audience; it should not be underestimated.

There’s a logical explanation to everything, and that includes trends in culture and human behaviour. I want to explore this new world where everyone exhibits their perfect lifestyle on multiple feeds, and in doing so help you to increase your self-esteem and your confidence. I’m going to talk about the logic and philosophy behind lifestyle choices. I’m going to investigate the realms of fashion, health & fitness, social media, and personalities.

I want to help you improve your quality of life, by helping you with your relationships with yourself, people, and the world around you. I’m going to help you present your image and better yourself. I’m not here to sell you a lifestyle, I’m here to help you build your own lifestyle which will ultimately lead you to achieve your short-term goals and long-term dreams.
